“You lose some then you gain some.” This is one of the common quotations people love because it signifies positive thinking that when you lost something out of a problem, a richer blessing will soon occur. However, that is not always the case especially when we talk about weight. People who want to lose weight always want to lose and never ever gain again.
But those who desires for a quick weight loss often face that kind of problem—they lose instantly and they gain again quickly. More to that, the faster a person wants to lose weight, the greater risks of health problems arise.
People who already tried losing weight know it is not easy. They should burn more calories than they consume and burning calories takes a lot of effort. Regular physical exercise is one way while focusing to body parts which needs more attention. A healthy diet program is another way to control calorie intake to the body.
Although proper weight loss plans are readily available to all who are seeking normal weight, some still choose to get ahead of it and wants to take the fast lane. Experts agree that a quick weight loss poses serious dangers to health, thus, it is not always advisable.
Those who find themselves fat in the mirror, or their skinny pants just can’t fit them anymore – usually becomes obsessed to lose weight fast. Most likely they engage themselves in doing intensive dieting, overly counting of calories, self-deprivation and hunger, which most of the time leads to failure than success. They suffer through it rather than enjoying the process.
One should always remember that healthy weight loss is more important than fast weight loss. A sudden drop of weight is harmful to health. It stresses the immune system, poses risks of heart failure, changes in blood pressure, low blood sugar, ulcer, threats of body imbalances, and rapid weight gain.
To lose weight is not an overnight activity but a process towards achievable goal. It is advisable then to reduce only 1 to 2 pounds per week. Lifestyle also has a share with this such as including physical exercises to one’s daily activities and reducing calorie intake while maintaining a balanced diet.
Also keep it to mind that the reason for losing weight is to have a body in good physical shape. Healthy weight loss occurs slowly and steady. It promotes long term healthy habits and make one enjoy himself/herself. Just think about this, what would one benefit from a slender but sick body?
