Go get one of those booklets. I dont remember the name of it , but at the cover, theres 5 different types of colours . and on each colour, theres different types of food.
EX : Blue = grain , Yellow = meat and alternatives , Green = Veggies.
Im in grade 7 ,, going on grade 8. And almost each year of school, my health/gym teacher gives us a booklet of work, study sheets, and one of the booklets im talking about.

Just eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Protein is also great. Cook w/olive oil (extra Virgin organic) and stay away from sweets. Drink water instead of sodas and cut your portions. Dont eat things like pasta, rice, flour and white bread. As for exercise you guys should all go bike riding at least 3xs a week. Very good workout!
Diets dont’ work long term. Your family simply needs to start eating better and being more active…permanently. Make a lifestyle change and everyone should be involved. Make healthy food choices at home and when away…watch total calories consumed…avoid junk food, fast food, sugary drinks and sweets…
Be active. Go walking or jogging or bicycling or swimming or hiking or ??? together. Make it a bit of a competition for weight loss so everyone will feel more motivated.

Try going to weight watchers. They offer all kinds of support. My mom tried dozens of diets and that is the one that worked for her. The food is good. Also get out and do stuff as a family. Take a walk instead of watching tv, spend the day hiking or swimming. The key thing to losing weight is to burn more calories than what you take in. You may also want to talk to a nutritionist. Take a look at what is in your house. If you have lots of junk food and soda, get rid of it. Go for lots of fruit and vegetables, and water. (We flavor our water with lemon juice) Also pay attention to your labels. (Look at a 20 oz bottle of soda that is actually 2.5 servings so take the per serving calories and times it by 2.5.)
I feel the best way is to sit down as a family and see what everyone wants to achieve as far as weight loss goals. Have everyone pick one activity that they enjoy doing. Make a calender and plan on doing one a day With each Other. Be each others support group.Watch how much sugar you consume in a day, and carbs. Dont stick to the same am outt of calorieseverydayy becouse your body will grow use to it . Only weight once a week. Do treat your family once in a while. Dont try the diet pills, or special diets you see on tv. Becouse as soon as you go off the weight will come back
stop eating fast food/ eating out as much limit it to once a week at best. I know it’s sometimes the quickest and easiest route but it’s not healthy.
